Every supplier, settled.

Upload the supplier's statement. Sciro checks every line against your books and the invoices still in Sciro, and explains the difference to the penny.

How it works

One statement, start to finish.

  1. Step 1

    Import the statement

A PDF from the supplier, by email or upload. One per supplier, each month.

  2. Step 2

    Read the lines

Invoices, credit notes and payments, as the supplier printed them.

  3. Step 3

    Check your books

Each line is matched, possible, in Sciro, still draft, or missing.

  4. Step 4

    Explain the difference

Named buckets take it down to zero. Then mark it reconciled.

Statement

Every supplier, every month.

Statements arrive as PDFs. Import them from the mailbox or drop them in, several at once.

  • PDF, CSV, spreadsheet or a photo, one statement per file.
  • One month at a time: who has sent a statement, who has not.
  • To check, or reconciled, at a glance.

Checking

Every line, checked.

Sciro reads the supplier's bills, credit notes and payments from your books and matches every line.

  • Reference and amount agree: matched.
  • Same amount, a nearby date: a possible match for you to confirm or reject.
  • Nothing anywhere: missing, with the amount in plain sight.

Difference

The difference, explained.

Supplier says, your books say, and every penny between them named.

Named buckets

Missing, in Sciro, still draft, amounts that differ, payments not found, not on the statement.

Unexplained

What is left once every bucket is taken off. Zero means the lines add up.

Never stored

Every figure is worked out again each time you look, so a note or a match cannot leave a stale total.

In Sciro

What your books cannot see yet.

Sciro holds the invoices that have not reached your books, so the gap has a name before anyone goes looking.

In approval

An invoice still moving through the chain shows as in Sciro, with its amount.

Approved, not sent

Approved and waiting to post. Counted, and named.

Draft in your books

Posted as a draft your books do not count yet. Named too.

Part of one workflow.

Everything in Sciro

Supplier statements read the same suppliers, invoices and books as the rest of Sciro.

Common questions

Which files can I import?

A PDF, CSV, spreadsheet or photo of the statement, up to 4MB each, several at once. One statement per file.

Does it need my accounting software connected?

Yes. Lines are checked against the supplier’s bills, credit notes and payments in your books. Nothing is written back.

What is a possible match?

The same amount on a nearby date, with one candidate. Confirm it or reject it, and a rejected one is never offered again.

What if the statement shows an opening balance?

Older items that no line names are taken as one brought-forward figure against it, so the difference stays honest.

Who can work on statements?

The finance team, with access to your accounting software. Notes on a line and on the statement are kept for the next person.

When is a statement reconciled?

When you mark it so. Sciro asks first that the lines add up to the balance and that every open line has a match, a note, or is ignored.
