Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Suraj Kishor Patel, trading as Sciro, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform (the "Services"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's operators. We also use related technologies such as your browser's local storage.

3. The cookies and technologies we use

We do not use advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. The table below lists what we use.

Strictly necessary cookies. These keep you signed in, maintain your session securely, and protect against misuse. They are set by our authentication provider (Supabase). The Services cannot function without them, so they are not subject to consent.

Google Maps cookies (non-essential). The mileage and address features can use the Google Maps APIs to show an interactive map and search addresses. Google sets cookies to provide that. Because these are non-essential, we load Google Maps only after you consent (see Section 4). If you do not consent, those features still work: you can enter addresses and mileage manually.

Local storage. We store a small amount of information in your browser's local storage, such as your theme and your Google Maps consent choice. This is not a cookie and is not transmitted to us; it stays on your device until you clear it.

4. Your choices and how to manage cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required to run the Services and are not subject to consent. You can delete or block them through your browser settings, but blocking the authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in.

Google Maps cookies are non-essential, so we ask before loading Google Maps. The first time you use a feature that needs it, you can allow or decline. Your choice is remembered for the device you are using.

You can change or withdraw your Google Maps consent at any time, free of charge:

  • in the consent prompt shown in the mileage and address features;
  • in Settings, under Cookie choices; or
  • by clearing cookies and site data in your browser.

Withdrawing takes effect the next time the feature loads. Because we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, our Services do not behave differently in response to a browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. See our Privacy Policy for more.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date when we do.
