Accuracy and alignment.
Import the card statement, match each transaction to its receipt, mark what has none, and post one reconciled bill to your books.
How it works
One statement, start to finish.
Step 1
Import the statement
A CSV from the card provider. Pick the card it belongs to.
Step 2
Match the receipts
Sciro pairs each transaction with a receipt. Change any match by hand.
Step 3
Close the gaps
Mark a transaction as no receipt, or ask for one. Finance can comment.
Step 4
Post one bill
Approved, it goes to your books as one draft bill, receipts attached.
Statement
The statement and the receipts, side by side.
Import the card statement and the receipts already in Sciro line up against it.
- A CSV from the card provider, read transaction by transaction.
- Receipts the cardholder has already captured are there waiting.
- Progress on the statement, not a pile: 1 of 3 done, 2 left.
Matching
Each transaction finds its receipt.
Sciro pairs transactions with receipts by amount, date and name, and shows how sure it is.
- A match shows its closeness. Change it by hand when you know better.
- One receipt for one transaction, never double-counted.
- What is left unmatched is one list, with the amount still to explain.
Gaps
What is missing, in plain sight.
The month-end chase, before month end.
Unmatched
Every transaction without a receipt, in one list, with what is still owed.
No receipt
Mark it, say why, and the approver sees the note beside the amount.
Comments
Finance and the cardholder work on the same reconciliation and talk on it.
Approvals
Reviewed before it is posted.
The reconciliation goes through your approval chain like any claim, with every receipt and note in view.
- Approvers see each transaction, its receipt or its note, and the total.
- Edit a match, recode a line or send it back with a note.
- Finance can share one queue, so a statement never waits on one person.
Your books
One statement, one bill.
Approved, the reconciliation goes to your books as a single draft bill, receipts attached.
- Lines merged where they share an account and VAT rate.
- Every receipt attached to the bill.
- The bill shows as sent in Sciro, with the reference your books gave it.
Part of one workflow.
Everything in SciroCard reconciliation shares the receipts, the approval chain and the books with expenses and invoices.
Common questions
Which card statements can I import?
A CSV export from the card provider. Choose the card it belongs to and Sciro reads the date, vendor and amount of each transaction.
How does matching work?
By amount, date and vendor name, with the closeness of the match shown on each transaction. Change any match by hand.
What if a transaction has no receipt?
Mark it as no receipt with a note. The approver sees the note beside the amount, and a receipt-required policy can flag it.
Who can work on a reconciliation?
The cardholder and the finance team. Finance can view, edit and comment, and reconciliations they submit go to a shared queue.
What goes to the books?
One draft bill for the statement, with lines merged where they share an account and VAT rate, and every receipt attached.
Does Sciro learn how we categorise costs?
Yes. Sciro uses account choices from similar expenses and invoice lines your organisation has approved and sent to its books to suggest categories from your active chart of accounts. More history helps tailor suggestions to your business. Your team can review and correct them before approval.
