Connected invoice processing.
Invoices arrive by email or upload. Sciro reads every line, codes each to your chart of accounts, and sends the approved bill to your books with the original attached.
How it works
One invoice, start to finish.
Step 1
Bring the invoice in
From a connected mailbox or dropped in. Staged until someone confirms it.
Step 2
Read line by line
Supplier, dates and VAT, and every line with its own quantity, price and tax rate.
Step 3
Approved by the right people
Manager, then finance. Name someone to see it first if you need to.
Step 4
Sent to your books
A draft bill, original attached, under the supplier’s number.
Capture
From the inbox or the desk.
Most invoices arrive by email. Connect the mailbox and Sciro fetches them, checks for duplicates and stages them.
- Attachments fetched and checked against what you already have.
- Nothing counts until someone confirms it.
- A PDF dropped in at the desk goes the same way.
Reading
Every figure, and the sum of them.
Read beside the original and checked against itself.
- Supplier, number, dates, currency, lines and VAT.
- Net, VAT and gross must agree. A misread figure shows up at once.
- Correct any field before submitting. The original stays alongside.
Line items
Every line, read as a line.
Each line comes out of the original with its own description, quantity, unit price, tax rate and amount.
- Every line, across every page.
- Lines summed and checked against the subtotal, VAT and total.
- Edit, split or remove a line before submitting.
Coding
Each line to its own account.
At submit, each line is coded separately to an account from your chart, from what you approved before.
- One invoice, several lines, each with its own account and tax rate.
- The approver sees every line coded and can change one without touching the rest.
- The more you approve, the closer the suggestions get.
Approvals
The right eyes, in the right order.
Manager, then finance, each seeing the bill already coded.
- Name a person who must see an invoice first.
- Approvers come from your org chart, in step with your HR system.
- Edit, recode a line or reject with a note. Only the final approver sends.
The awkward ones
Handled, not worked around.
The invoices that usually need a side conversation.
Credit notes
Read as a negative amount and kept as one, so it offsets.
Deposits
Asks whether VAT is claimed on the whole or on this payment.
Queries
Ask a question from the invoice. One email, one push, the answer waits with it.
Your books
Approved means posted.
The last yes puts the bill in your books as a draft, original attached.
- A draft bill, line by line, original attached.
- VAT with the tax type your books expect, checked after posting.
- The supplier’s number as the reference, so it matches their statement.
Part of one workflow.
Everything in SciroInvoices share the approval chain, the chart of accounts and the books with expenses and card reconciliation.
Common questions
Can I import invoices from email?
Email import is included in the trial and on eligible paid plans. Connect a supported inbox to fetch document attachments, check for duplicates and stage files for review before confirming them.
What does the AI read?
Upload a receipt or invoice as a PDF or image. Sciro extracts the supplier, date, amounts, VAT, invoice number and line items. You can review and correct the details before submitting.
What happens to an invoice with several lines?
Each line is read with its description, quantity, unit price and tax rate, and coded to its own account at submit. The approver can change any line.
Does Sciro learn how we categorise costs?
Yes. Sciro uses account choices from similar expenses and invoice lines your organisation has approved and sent to its books to suggest categories from your active chart of accounts. More history helps tailor suggestions to your business. Your team can review and correct them before approval.
Can we ask a question about an invoice?
On eligible plans, yes. Raise a query from the invoice. The person is told once by email and push, and the answer sits with the invoice.
How are credit notes handled?
Recognised and kept as a negative amount. Approved and sent like any record, offsetting the matching bill in your books.
